Nicolas Baldeyrou debuts with the Oslo Philharmonic
Nicolas Baldeyrou will make his debut with the Oslo Philharmonic on 1 October 2026 at the Oslo Concert Hall, in a concert conducted by Marin Alsop.
He will perform the clarinet concerto Overblow by Finnish composer Sauli Zinovjev. The piece was commissioned by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France specifically for Nicolas and was premiered on 5 June at the Maison de la Radio in Paris, conducted by François Leleux.
The concert also features Samuel Barber's Essay No. 2 and Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5, performed by the Oslo Philharmonic alongside musicians of Ung Filharmoni, celebrating the ensemble's 10th anniversary.
